Lead Teacher

 

The Rise School of Corpus Christi is seeking a lead teacher for a new classroom in our preschool facility.​ We are the city’s first and only school dedicated to early education of children with and without disabilities in an inclusive classroom setting with on-staff speech, occupational, physical, and music therapists. The Rise School of Corpus Christi serves children ages fifteen months to six years of age in an intensive environment of early education and intervention provided to students year-round, five days a week, six hours daily. We boast a state-of-the-art facility equipped with educational technology and wealth of teaching resources. The Rise School of Corpus Christi is a Texas Rising Star Facility and has a high standard for professional growth and ongoing evaluation.

 

Lead Teacher Requirements:

A lead teacher at The Rise School of Corpus Christi is an exemplary educator that possesses a bachelor’s degree (masters preferred) in education, has experience in special education, early childhood education, and/or a related field. Teacher must demonstrate passion, patience, creativity, flexibility and respect. Preschool teaching experience and/or early elementary teaching experience required. 

Overview:
Lead Teachers are responsible for developing and implementing lesson plans that create a stimulating, safe, and developmentally appropriate educational environment where children, ages 15 months to 5 years, with and without disabilities, have the opportunity to flourish in all domains of development. The Lead Teacher leads and supervises classroom and two Teaching Assistants. Compensation: $36,000+, depending on education and experience. Assistant Teacher/Instructional Assistant

 

The Rise School of Corpus Christi is seeking two assistant teachers for a new classroom in our preschool facility.​ We are the city’s first and only school dedicated to early education of children with and without disabilities in an inclusive classroom setting with on-staff speech, occupational, physical, and music therapists. The Rise School of Corpus Christi serves children ages fifteen months to six years of age in an intensive environment of early education and intervention provided to students year-round, five days a week, six hours daily. Assistant Teacher Requirements:

An assistant teacher at The Rise School of Corpus Christi is an exemplary educator that possesses college credit hours in early childhood, an associate degree in related field or CDA. Preference is given to a candidate with experience working with special education, early childhood education, and/or a related field. An assistant teacher must demonstrate passion, patience, creativity, flexibility, and respect. Candidate must be punctual and reliable, work well with others, and be self-motivated. All applicants will be required to complete a background check, participate in professional development hours, and complete CPR/First Aid prior to start date.

 

Overview:
Assistant teachers work directly under supervision of lead teachers. Responsibilities include supervision and education of children, ages 15 months to 5 years, with and without disabilities. Position is full time, M-F, 40 hours weekly. Compensation: $22,000+, depending on education and experience.
